Co-Founder Alexander Zehnder spoke at the 10th World City Summit (WCS) Mayors Forum in Medellin

Co-Founder Alexander Zehnder spoke at the 10th World City Summit (WCS) Mayors Forum in Medellin, Columbia from July 10 to 12, 2019. 54 mayors and city leaders from 53 cities gathered and discussed topics ranging from innovations and good practices in city governance to help build confidence in cities’ societies and institutions, to how cities should plan for economic and environmental security in an age of unpredictable economic fluctuations and extreme weather events.

Alexander Zehnder spoke about the outcomes from the 2019 Singapore Sustainability Symposium. His main points were that trust, which includes inclusiveness, transparency, respect, a healthy environment and good governance is the major precondition for cities to become economically promising and attract innovative individuals and companies, the basis of a solid sustainable economic growth.

He talked to many Mayors from Asia and Europe about the focus of NanRise and how it could support their cities planning their own sustainable future. The echo was very positive, and a number of leads will be followed-up in the near future.
