The International Biodiversity Forum and Symposium on Urban Resilience and Climate Adaptation were held at 8-9 November 2023, in Kunming, Yunnan. At the seminar, the first batch of selected cities under the United Nations "Action Plan for Creating Resilient Cities 2030" (MCR 2030) were officially released to the public. Dr. Stanley Yip, CEO of NanRise, was invited by the organizers to give a keynote speech at the conference titled "Climate Resilience and Urban Development Risk Assessment." Dr. Yip introduced NanRise’s recent research and project experience in climate risk assessment and reported on the development of a climate risk assessment data analytics tool that has recently been test bedded in pilot projects in Chinese cities.
