NanRise supported the 6th Singapore Sustainability Symposium (S3) 8 to 10 May 2019

NanRise was one of the supporting organizations to the 6th Singapore Sustainability Symposium (S3) held in Singapore from 8 to 10 May 2019. The Singapore Sustainability Symposium (S3) is an annual event organized by the Nanyang Technological University and brings together top internationally renowned leaders, experts, entrepreneurs to debate on global sustainability issues. The forum this year has the theme of “SUSTAINABILITY: CREATING ASSETS FOR GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS”. It was opened by Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister of Singapore and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies. Professor Alexander Zehnder, Chair of Sustainable Earth Office in NTU, and Co-founder of NanRise has been the Chairman of this important forum since its inauguration in 2014. Dr. Stanley Yip, CEO of NanRise spoke on the recent major ministerial reform in China and its impacts on sustainability policy making in China.


In partnership with Singapore’s ministries, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) and private sector collaborators, have been organizing the annual Singapore Sustainability Symposium (S3) since 2014. The symposium has become an international platform to support sustainability and urban solutions, and to highlight multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder collaborations that support the development of sustainable cities.
