Dr. Stanley Yip, CEO of NanRise had been invited by the North China University of Technology (NCUT) in Beijing, China to visit the campus and meet with the leaders to discuss possibility of collaborations.
The visit was held on 10 July and Ms Shen Chi-li, Vice President of the NCUT met with Dr. Yip and introduced the recent focus the university has put on international collaboration as well as technological innovations. NCUT has a long history in technological development and innovations and is one of the top universities in the City of Beijing. It has focused on establishing a playform to enable collaborations amongst industries, academics, research and enterprises. Dr. Yip introduced the roles of NanRise as a spin off from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and as a strategic partner to the EcoLabs programme in NTU.
After the meeting and visits to the various laboratories and projects, both sides will proceed in the near future to commence discussions on possible collaborations.
